چکیده
Background: The aim of this study is to investigate the presence cognitive dysfunction and deep gray matter involvement in early-stages Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis(RRMS) disease examine relationship between them.
Materials Methods: Thirty-four patients 23 healthy individuals were included study. Patients diagnosed with RRMS according Revised 2010 2017 McDonald criteria, aged 18-50, enrolled control group consisted normal neurological examination, cranial magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), functions. All participants underwent a neuropsychological test battery that covers memory, executive functions, language, visuospatial domains, results these tests compared among groups. data on MRI parameters, including areas thalamus corpus callosum as well width third ventricle, Finally, parameters was investigated early-stage RRMS.
Results: mean duration for MS 3.53 years, their median EDSS score 2. It observed fine motor skills affected patients. This impairment correlated decrease an increase ventricle width.
Conclusion: defined biomarkers potential impairments have critical importance predicting prognosis taking early measures against future dysfunction.
